Find your balance. Keep it when it counts.

Sophrology combines breathing, gentle movement and visualisation into short exercises that help you stay steady when the stakes are high: before an exam, on stage, before a presentation or a conversation that matters.

A free 20-minute call. No obligation to book anything afterwards.

Teenagers, adults, schools and companies. In English and Polish, online or in person in Gdańsk, Poland.

Who I work with

My professional background of over twenty years as an orchestral musician and violin teacher has given me a close understanding of what happens when you have to be at your best in the moment. As a performer I know it from the inside: the dry throat, the shaky hands, the racing mind that takes your clarity away just when you need it. Sometimes the opposite — the mind that goes blank. As a teacher I spent years alongside young people and their parents through exams, auditions and the pressure that builds around them. I know which exercises can help.

Teenagers and parents

IB exams, IGCSEs, A-levels, an important performance, a sports competition. Add peer pressure, and evenings when thoughts won't settle.

I run beChill® Exams — a course where teenagers learn how to walk into an exam with access to what they actually know. Taught in English, the original language of the programme.

Adults — on stage and at work

The stage, the meeting room, the conversation that matters. I know which exercises can help in the few minutes before you walk in.

I also work with people looking for more balance day to day — in holding work and home together, and in sleeping better.

Schools and companies

For schools: workshops for students, support for teaching staff, sessions for parents.

For companies: practical techniques a team can use at their desk, in two minutes, without changing anything about the working day.

How It Works

1

Step 1: Let's Identify Your Goal

We start with a consultation, where we talk about what you want to work on — whether it's feeling calmer, sleeping better, or preparing for an event.

2

Step 2: Get Your Personalised Plan

Based on your goal, I'll guide you through techniques, which include simple breathing exercises, visualisations, and light movements. Together, we will explore which ones are most helpful to you.

3

Step 3: Practise and notice what changes

You'll leave each session with practical tools to use in your daily life. The more familiar they become, the more you can rely on them when it counts.

What I offer

I offer both one-to-one and group sessions, shaped around your needs and what you want to work towards. You can take part online or in person.

One-to-one sessions

  • Step by step towards more balance — you learn practical techniques that fit into everyday life.
  • Your own toolkit — together we find which techniques serve you best, so you can draw on them in any situation.
  • 90 minutes for the first session, 60 for those that follow — time given entirely to you and to where you are that day.
  • A minimum of three sessions recommended — enough to learn the foundations and notice the first effects; we shape what comes next together.

Not sure which would suit you? Start with a free 20-minute conversation, or write to me with your question.

Group sessions

  • Monthly online meetings — an open group, once a month, from September to June. Drop-in, suitable for any level, with no series to sign up for.
  • Share as much as you want to — always to the extent you feel comfortable.

Courses and workshops — I run multi-week series periodically for people who want to go deeper. If that interests you, join the newsletter and I'll let you know about the next one.

About me

Hello, I'm Maria.

I work with people who need to be at their best in a particular moment, and with people who simply want more ease in their day. Often they turn out to be the same person.

I have worked as an orchestral musician and violin teacher for over twenty years. It has given me plenty of opportunities to witness how stress affects the body and mind, and how it cuts us off from what we genuinely know how to do — and how much it means to have tools you can reach for in a difficult moment. That experience is what led me to sophrology.

I work with teenagers, with adults, with schools and with companies. Every time, it comes down to the same thing: having access to your own capabilities when the moment matters. How we get there is different each time — working with a fifteen-year-old before exams is not the same as working with a musician before a competition, or with a team inside a company. What they are all working towards has a name.

Flow — harmony of body, mind and emotions

That state of full access to your resources is called flow. Action becomes light and effective, the mind is quiet, the body at ease. That's where the name Sofro Flow comes from — because that's where this work leads.

A gift to get you started

Join the newsletter and I'll send you a recording of one simple exercise — yours to keep, to use whenever you need it.

Try it first thing in the morning to set the tone for your day. Take it as a mini-break to recharge during the day. Or use it in the evening, when it's time to let the day settle.

You'll also hear from me once a month at most: new courses and workshops before they're announced anywhere else, and practical ideas for bringing sophrology into everyday life.
